I was born in Southern California.
When I was 10 years old, I moved to Michigan (from Southern California.)
I vowed that one day, I would return. And I did, 9 years later.
As I lay here in my bed tonight *even though this is scheduled to post tomorrow, when I’ll actually be flying to Denver*, it will be my final night “living” in California. 19 years. My heart and soul will forever be in Southern California. It’s ingrained in me, deep. And even though I am moving away (again) I can’t help but pray that one day, I will return.
I changed my facebook city. *Everyone knows that nothing is official until you change your facebook*
California, you are more than beaches, or people who use the word “rad” and “gnarly” in their daily vocabulary (and do not get mocked in the process) you represent so much more to me. I grew up here, at two huge (and different) parts of my life. I met best friends here. My family is here.
Once again, I can say most assuredly that I will be “California Dreamin’ on such a winters day.”
I’ll miss 80 degree desert Christmas Eves. *and never ever having to shovel snow or scrape ice off my windshield*
You can take the girl out of California, but you can’t take the California out of the girl.
Plain and simple.
Don’t forget to vote. You know the drill.

My time is soon. You got a good beer scene and Great American Beer Festival is held there. So I am sure that once I am settled in, I can tag along with the intentions that I won’t be drinking beer all day. and hang out with my friends instead
