Product Review: Scentsy

A while ago, I won a give-away for a Scentsy scent bar some another blogger. When it came in the mail, it smelled awesome, but I didn’t have a warmer, and I didn’t know much about the company.

I first met Stacey on twitter, and immediately we clicked. First off, she is a military wife, and her family is completely adorbs. She is also a Certified Consultant for Scentsy. She was kind enough to send me a full sized warmer, and some more scents to review for this post.

This is the warmer I chose. But first, let me show you how it works:

Step One: Plug it in and turn it on (it will turn on a lightbulb)

Step Two: Insert one of more sections of the Scentsy bar into the warmer dish.

Step Three: Enjoy the smell. :)

I love having my house smell good (legit, at one point I had a “glade plug in” in every single socket.) However, the refills for those plug ins are fairly expensive, and they really didn’t make my entire house smell any better- just the rooms they were located it. I also loved candles, but those aren’t exactly baby/pet friendly either. When I got my Scentsy package in the mail from Stacey I instantly fell in love.

I wish you could smell this picture. Seriously.

First off, the low wattage bulb heats the wax to 98 degrees, so if a tiny Vivien finger somehow managed to poke around, she wouldn’t get burned. Also, there is no fire hazard either. I got sent a bunch of Scentsy scent bars as well.

As you can see, the bars are split off into different sections, and you can use one or more sections, depending on how saturated of a smell you want. (I use two, and I can smell the scent throughout my entire main floor & just ordered another one for my second floor since I am now obsessed.) The cool thing is that these two little sections last forever. When I want to change smells, I simply dump the warm wax back into the mold, and it still has lots of life left.

This is also Eli approved. He loves coming home and having his house not smell like wet dog, and has even gone into the drawer that I keep the scent bars, and grabbed his favorite one to change them up (in case you’re dying to know, his favorite is Dear Watson so far, however he just put through an order for Iced Pine, because Christmas tree smells are his favorite.)

So friends, I wanted to pass along this info and also tell you some news: I love Scentsy so much, I immediately signed up to become a consultant myself.

To browse everything that Scentsy offers, click the image above to check out my personal Scentsy website.

I promise that you will love these products as much as I do. Also, the new holiday line just came out, so if you haven’t seen it, I suggest you go take a peek, it’s pretty amazing (and it has awesome sounding smells like Pumpkin Bar and Pumpkin Marshmallow- if you’re pumpkin crazed like me!)

Please contact me via email (thememoirsofmegan@gmail.com) or phone if you have any questions, or would like to discuss Scentsy at all.

  • I have several Scentsy warmers and I love them. I even have one in my office at work. I change the scents according to my location or the season and it really has an affect on people’s moods!

  • Excuse me as I browse and immediately order from you. :) Love scentsy stuff! As I also have those stupid expensive glade plug-ins in every outlet in my house, I’m excited that I finally have a consultant to order from!

  • PS I wish you lived in Virginia with me so I could host a party.

  • I am in LOVE with Scentsy! My sister-in-law is a consultant as well and I’m really looking into seeing if it would be something that I could do. I adore them & think they’re amazing! ♥

It’s awesome that you got to review it! I’m sure you’re hooked now, haha! :)

  • That’s so awesome you decided to become a consultant!! I will be ordering from you for the holidays, for sure! You’ll have to keep us posted on how you’re doing business-wise. I’ve been considering selling something as well, but didn’t want to do Avon or makeup or anything. I’m a candle freak, so Scentsy is probably what I’ll end up doing :)
