Yes, yes, you’re probably sick and tired of me talking about how much times have changed for us over this past year. For example, a year ago today, Eli and I went and ate spicy Chinese food in hopes of starting labor. And then we walked around Walmart for 2 hours while I hunched over the shopping cart timing contractions, while trying to waddle “walk” as much as possible.
Now, our family lives 24 hours away from that Walmart. I’m not dreading my return to work, and wondering how I’m going to manage handing my kid over to someone else. Being her Mommy IS my job, every day, and I wouldn’t change that for the world.
I got to see her roll over, crawl, stand up, take wobbly (mostly falling) steps. She is no longer this tiny, 6lb helpless newborn:

I can’t believe how much our lives can change in just one short year. I can’t wait to celebrate her birthday this Saturday!

How did I not know she was so tiny at birth? And that picture! So tiny! And the eyes! Amazing.
Oh my goodness – I can’t lie, this post makes me emotional. Half because I can’t believe that her birthday is almost here, and half because that mean’s Ben’s is coming up too. Good lord. Hold me. Hahaha
I can not believe the time has come that our October (november for mine though) babies are turning one! Stopppppp it.
Happy early 1st birthday little angel!!!! My son also has an October birthday and will be 2 on Sunday!
