Dear Vivien,

I cannot believe that it’s been a whole year since we first met. I feel like I’ve known you my entire life, and I can’t believe how perfect you are in every aspect.

I have waited my entire life for you, and baby, you are worth it. Your spirit is awesome. You love to laugh, and be silly. When your Daddy walks in from work, you squeal and meet him at the door. You are the apple of our eye.

You are so even tempered, and relaxed. You hardly ever cry. You love exploring things, and I love watching you experience new things. You’re always so serious when you are taken out of your “comfort zone” and I can tell that you’re just processing everything around you.

You love stuffed animals, and will spot them from across the room. You also love your doggies, and love laughing at all the dumb things that Pixie does.

I can’t wait to do new things with you, and show you life. It warms my heart when you say “Mama!” and put your head on my shoulder when you’re sleepy. You love sticking your foot in my face, and I’ll pretend to bite it, or sniff it and say “pppeeee-YOU!” and you laugh hysterically.

You’re so sensitive, and when I do have to tell you, “No” you will typically start crying, until I give you snuggles and reassure you that it’s all okay.

I’m so lucky to be your Mommy, and your Daddy and I love you so, so very much.
