It’s been an eventful year, here in my household. Taking the cue of many other bloggers, I am doing a look-back into the year of 2012, via posts.
January: Vivien was only 3 months old in January, and I can’t believe how tiny she looked (she only weighed 12 lbs!) I also went back to work full-time, and gave up dairy for 2 weeks, because of Vivien’s eczema.
February: In February, I talked about my pediatrician’s suggestion and our decision to start Vivien on rice cereal, and why monitoring what she eats is so important to me because of my own weight struggle. I also talked about how I think that working Moms are equivalent to superheros, because it’s hard!
March: In March, I announced to everyone that we were moving to Colorado, and I was going to become a stay at home Mommy. We also had a fun poll to see who you thought that Vivien resembled more: Mommy, or Daddy.
April: In April, I cried as I wrote my goodbye to California. I also opened up about a common thing with bloggers: envy.

May: In May, my little family became official first time home-buyers. I also dipped a bit into comedy, by talking about some annoying facebook friends, and what I call them on the daily.
June: The beginning of June was rough, as I said goodbye to one of my closest friends, as she lost her year long battle against pancreatic cancer. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her. Vivien also learned how to crawl that month, and chasing her around became a full time job of mine.
July: In July, I discussed breastfeeding, and how I want to raise my daughter to think of it as the norm. I also talked about our vacation to Michigan here, and here.
August: I was excited to finally receive my college degree (although, I had actually finished all my college work in October 2011, but had to wait for some work to get graded and approved.) I also wrote about how sometimes, the fashion styles of today are completely lost on me.
September: In September, I showed you some amazing pictures from my childhood (along with a killer one of my sister, as well!) I also did my very first ever mommy confessions posts, like where I talked about being crazy hairy, and the difference between then, and now.
October: Oh, October! I wrote my first ever letter to Vivien, as well as doing a video montage celebrating her first year. I also started to seriously think about whether or not there was truly perfect timing to having another baby.

November: In November, I admitted to my very first ever misdemeanor crime. I was also thrilled when Vivien learned how to walk just two weeks after her first birthday.
December: I learned a valuable lesson from my daughter, that month. We also celebrated our family Christmas, and Vivien went sledding for the very first time, ever. I also started really diving into my newest hobby: photography.
As I sit back and remember how we celebrated last New Year’s Eve, and what this year has brought my little family, I cannot wait to make another year’s worth of memories, and share them all with you, my friends, along the way.
Happy New Year, friends.
