I’m back, with another amazing company that I just have to tell you all about!
Have you guys ever heard of a website called eShakti? I first heard of it through my mother in law about a year ago,. Before I ramble on, this is the mission behind their website:
“eShakti is a fresh concept in custom clothing. We believe that all women have the right to wear affordable fashion. What began as a small website offering basic cottons and modestly embellished pieces has grown into an international company offering fashionable custom clothing. eShakti offers both design and fit customization for women size 0 through 36. This is the heart of our business.
Our custom capabilities allow customers to easily tailor any item to their specific requirements ensuring a flattering fit. Built-in customization tools guide women through our simple 3-step design and fit page where they can increase the size of a bust, shorten the length of a skirt and modify sleeves or a neckline! We believe that custom clothing does not have to be expensive. By keeping up with technology as it is advancing, we are able to provide customization at a modest cost and offer it to all women. We do not stock any sizes. Since each style–whether standard sized, custom styled or custom sized–is cut to order, we do not have to warehouse our merchandise. Therefore, every style requires a height measurement–whether customizing or not. This ensures a “truer” fit. We ship directly to our customers in about 2 weeks from the date of order.
The internet allows us to be extremely customer-centric by enabling the buying to be inter-active. Shakti means power in Sanskrit. Internet + Shakti = eShakti.com.”
That pretty much says it all, but I’d like to elaborate with personal experience. I think we all know that I am 6’1 (and a half, but who’s counting?) and *obviously* plus sized. Ordering clothing off the internet makes me really nervous, because most of the time, it just doesn’t fit. Either it’s too short, or cut weird, or something just doesn’t fit.
I am now an eShakti convert, for sure! Their clothing is adorable (I’m in love with their dresses) and the awesome part is that you can completely customize it to fit your own taste. You can change sleeve lengths, neckline, hem lengths, pretty much everything, very easily! This site is perfect for my fellow tall chicks too, because their height chart goes all the way up to 7 feet tall. You upload your current measurements into the website, and voila! You have a piece of clothing tailored for YOU, not some random person.
I ordered this coat off the website (it was before Christmas, so it was a different color available at that time) and was so pleased when I received it. I get compliments on my coat pretty much every single time I wear it. It’s gorgeous, has some sparkle to it, and it fit me perfectly, right out of the bag. Coats are normally really hard for me to wear, since the sleeves are always too short- but not this one! It’s very well made, as well.
Check out these pieces that I am loving from eShakti and are waiting patiently on my birthday list:
Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post. I received an item for free, in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
