Lazy Weekends

Happy Monday, friends!

This past weekend (or Sunday, I should clarify) was just what the doctor ordered for me. It started by waking Vivien up early because we had plans to go somewhere, so I wanted her to be able to nap at 12. Since I woke her up at 8, and Eli was already awake and downstairs playing X-Box, I took her downstairs, and told him that he had baby-duty, while I went back to bed.

I slept in until 10:30!

It felt so great to be able to have some alone time, while knowing she was downstairs and playing with her favorite dude in the world.

I should also note that I did not leave my warm, cozy house, once this weekend. Why?

Uhm, yes. That does say 1 degree. And that was also at 6pm. The highest temp yesterday was 10 degrees. So, thanksbutnothanks.

We caught up with the DVR, I took a mid-day nap (have I mentioned how sleep deprived I am lately? I gotta make up for it, somehow) and spent the night laughing with Vivien and doing somersaults. Somersaults are the way to her heart, she does them all day long, and runs back to me with open arms squealing for more. So much, that I am looking into toddler tumbling for next winter, because she really loves it.

However, later that day, Eli started complaining about not feeling well, and starting showing flu-like symptoms. Eeek! Hopefully he isn’t  bringing the nation-wide flu epidemic into the home. Vivien has also been pukey, however, I attribute that to the fact that she is cutting her last set of teeth.

Overall, it was an amazing Sunday, and I am feeling well-rested, well-loved, and refreshed.

How was your weekend?

PS: You may be noticing a few changes around here this week, as I am getting my very first ever professional blog design. So stay tuned! I am SO excited!

PSS: Tomorrow is Tuesday! Remember to get your Mommy Confessions posts ready to link up with me, and my BBF, Heather.

  • Can’t wait to see the new design! And glad that you got to catch-up on some sleep! Hubby slept in till 11:30 on Saturday, but then offered to watch the kiddos for me that afternoon so I could take a nap! What good Hubbies we have, huh?! And 1 degree?!? I thought our 30 degree weather was bad! Hope you all stay feeling well, and that the sickies don’t make their way into your household!

  • So…couldn’t leave a comment on your mommy confessions, don’t know why, but I’m gonna leave it here. I literally was laughing out loud to myself as I read through that post. Gosh I love posts that make me laugh. In fact, inside? I’m still chuckling.
